About The Fair
The 10th D.A.A. encompasses most of the geographic area of Siskiyou County, the northernmost central county in the state, which has a rich history of agriculture and natural resource management industries.
The Siskiyou Golden Fair is governed under the state Division of Fairs & Expositions, a division of the California Department of Food & Agriculture. Locally, a nine-member board of directors governs the 10th D.A.A.
The staff includes four fulltime employees: CEO Cliff Munson, AGPA Michelle Eiler, and Senior Maintenance Worker Mike Luiz.
More than 50,000 patrons attend the Siskiyou Golden Fair each year which is held 26 days before Labor Day. The Fair is the longest-running community event in Siskiyou County.
The 10th DAA is also responsible for maintaining the fairgrounds year-round for interim events. More than 90,000 people visit the fairgrounds for such interim events as auto racing, RV rallies, equestrian events, and numerous community events from home shows to wedding receptions.
Approximately $3 million enters the county economy through events at the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds each year.
